July 31, 2007 To Whom It May Concern, I have worked with J-Bird on both sides of the business table, and she has been a consummate professional in every way. Both she and the talented voice-over pro she provided our agency/film co. with, Anita Darian, were dreams to work with. I highly recommend J-Bird and her resources to anyone in the entertainment field. She dotted every i, crossed every T, and always with a smile! Wishing you the best, as always, David E. Feldman E. | July 17, 2007 I have been extremely fortunate to work with Joanne “J-Bird” Phillips. She is an extremely conscientious and articulate individual. It is rare to interact with a person who has such a gift for promoting others. There is no doubt in my mind that she will immerse herself in a project as if it were her own. Her many years of experience coupled with her wonderful demeanor are just some of her powerful tools. In addition, you can count on her to deliver in the most effective way possible. I feel a sense of comfort when working with her because I know she is trustworthy and considerate. She possesses so many outstanding qualities that are important in the promotional arena. I am very thankful for her willingness to promote my photography business and for the advice she has given me regarding the music business. I highly recommend her services as an asset to any business. Lucille Messina LewMax Photography Lucille’s Mixed Nuts www.myspace.com/lucillesmixednuts

July 11, 2007 Joanne J-Bird Phillips has been an active supporter of the non-profit cultural arts organization, Artists In Partnership, Inc. (AIP) for the last seven years. She and her business, J-Bird Entertainment, have helped sponsor AIP's Cabaret Festival and TwilightArts Fest. Despite a busy schedule of performing herself as a musician with Turnpike Joe and the Traffic Jam, she has made her time and talents available to assist AIP in various capacities - from lending sound equipment, arts consultation, networking and referrals, photography, phone calls - whatever needs to be done at any given moment. She has promoted some of our AIP artist members with great personal attention and success. We highly value her creative input, technical expertise, generous spirit, and financial support. June 12, 2007 Hello, I just wanted you all to know that Paper Moon Cabaret is in the process of being revamped based on several conversations I've had with potential singers and music industry and cabaret professionals, as well as cabaret students. You will hear more about Paper Moon Cabaret by the end of the month. July 18 continues to be the date of the next Paper Moon Cabaret program until further notice. I must acknowledge the great contributions to the development of this "outside-the-box" concept made by Joanne "J-Bird" Phillips, the owner of J-Bird Entertainment, an active member of the Long Beach-based Artists-in-Partnership, a professional musician and the agent and promoter for Turnpike Joe and the Traffic Jam, a rock ‘n’ roll band with a 30-year history of performing on Long Island and in the region. Joanne is a very wise woman with her feet on the ground, as well as the equally important quality of being patient with and open to creative thinkers like me. Above all, she is one of the few people I know who was able to patiently sit and listen (I mean REALLY listen) to me and really "hear" about Paper Moon Cabaret's mission and how the concept was born before making some astute observations and recommendations. I highly recommend her for whatever promotional needs you have. Visit her web site to learn more: www.j-birdlivemusic.com

Nov. 8, 2006 Dear Joanne, I wanted to write to thank you once more for bringing Turnpike Joe & The Traffic Jam to the Farmingdale Public Library. The music was fantastic and whenever I got the chance to come down and listen, I saw the audience clapping and tapping their feet along. At the end of the concert, I saw many people talking to the band to get information about how they could have a concert at various venues. Everyone had a fantastic time and I look forward to working with J-Bird Entertainment once more when I begin booking my 2007-08 concert series. Sincerely, Natalie Korsavidis Adult Program Coordinator Farmingdale Public Library Farmingdale, NY |
Aug. 24, 2006 Dear Ms. Phillips, On behalf of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, I would like to thank J-Bird Entertainment and Turnpike Joe & The Traffic Jam for participating in our Friday Night Concert Series at Captree State Park. This year’s program was a tremendous success because of the high quality performance you were able to provide us with. I look forward to working with you next season. Again, thank you very much! Sincerely, Mary Dunning Special Events Coordinator NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Babylon, NY |
Nov. 16, 2005 Dear Joanne, It is now apparent to me that your resourcefulness and detailed planning to surprise our school’s annual “Battle of the Bands” fund raising event and Performing Arts Program developed into an even more complex plan that allowed all of us at Goshen Central High School to have the greatest surprise of all! I wish to thank you for the generous gift of six Shure SM-58 microphones that we received at Goshen High School yesterday. I am sure the students that will have the opportunity to use these wonderful instruments will appreciate their quality and your thoughtfulness. On behalf of all of our students and “The Management”, we hope to see you with a bass guitar strapped on and playing in our next year’s “Battle of the Bands”. I wish to thank you once again for your support for the Goshen Central High School Performing Arts Program. Very Truly Yours, Robert Litz Principal Goshen Central High School Goshen, NY |
Jan. 26, 1999 Dear Joanne, Once again we would like to express our sincere appreciation for all you have done for The Children’s Cancer Center at North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset, New York. While funding for many of our projects comes from the hospital and government sources, donations of your invaluable time and musical talents help us to raise the funds needed to run several programs for improving the quality of life of our patients. We are pleased to enclose the 7th Annual International Children’s WorldFest Program of Events prominently displaying your support of the Center. The 1998 WorldFest once again exceeded our expectations and could not have been done without your help. Your efforts on behalf of our kids and their families will not be forgotten. Sincerely Yours, Joseph Kochen, M.D., Ph.D. Professor of Pediatrics North Shore University Hospital Manhasset, NY |
Jan. 28, 1998 Dear Joanne, I want to thank you for providing us with wonderful entertainment at our annual holiday party. I run a small company and our Christmas party needed some new spark. For the past two years, J-Bird Entertainment has been able to provide unique musical entertainment. I especially enjoyed the audience participation. I was particularly impressed that some of my employees, who are musicians, were taken with the quality of the performances and recognized one act in particular as a performer of some professional notoriety. I look forward to using you services again in the future. Sincerely, Allan Fiber Fiber Foot Appliances, Inc. Farmingdale, NY |
Nov. 10, 1997 Dear Joanne, First, let us take this opportunity to thank you. A little over two years ago our International Children’s WorldFest “dream” for The Children’s Cancer Center became a reality primarily due to the support and effort of people like you. The second annual WorldFest was equally successful. Your caring reflects the spirit and generosity of you and your organization, J-Bird Entertainment. We appreciate the time that you took to share and support us. As you know, the proceeds from this event help fund important programs which assist our young cancer patients to cope with the trauma of the disease and provide emotional support and hope for their families. We have many exciting plans for our next International Children’s WorldFest, and of course, we welcome your commitment and would like to invite you to continue your active participation in The Children’s Cancer Center. Sincerely, Lynda Katz – Co-Chair Ann Brunner – Co-Chair The Friends of the Children’s Cancer Center
